Project Profile: Rosewood Farms, A Unique Wedding And Private Event Venue

Rosewood Farms is a wedding and private event venue located in rural northern Maryland. The property offers newly engaged couples, event planners, and corporations a unique space with both charm and elegance to hold their events.

Rick Biddle bought the property in 2017 with the vision of a growing family business.  “I could tell you that this was something I dreamt of since I was 12, but the truth is that I was searching for something to do with my daughter, Katie, and my son, Matt. I had gone to another barn venue and saw an opportunity to create something unique and different, and that’s how the idea of Rosewood Farms came to be.”

Rick turned to Conestoga, a leading post frame event venue design/build contractor serving the Mid Atlantic region, to turn his grand ideas into reality. He wanted a company that would be there for each step of the process, from the initial design through construction, and Conestoga fit the bill. Rick stated, “They’re a great group of people, and they have helped us bring Rosewood to life.”

Designed with rustic charm and timeless elegance, the property is equipped with two event barns, a bridal suite, a groom’s lounge, a catering space, a pond, and a beautifully landscaped courtyard.

The structures at Rosewood Farms will serve a variety of purposes. Over the coming months we’ll feature individual updates, galleries, and descriptions of our work on this unique and creative project. The Rustic Barn

Built on the foundation of the property’s original barn, this remodeled space will be perfect for intimate gatherings, ceremonies and meetings for up to 150 guests. With high ceilings, natural light, climate control, restrooms and more, the Rustic Barn is full of beauty, history and functionality.

The Rose Barn

A new 6,000 square foot reception space that will accommodate up to 250 guests, with full climate control, men’s, women’s and family restrooms, a custom “silo” bar, a signature stone fireplace and a grand chandelier. This will be the ideal space for wedding receptions, conferences and more.

The Equipment Barn

Our brand new Equipment Barn will soon house all of our odds and ends. From mowers to boom lifts, the equipment will be out of sight and out of mind, but on site to ensure the property is maintained and well kept.
